Description
Two lenses are set each end of a copper alloy cylinder with an external thread that screws into a copper alloy collar. A large insect on a Steel pin is mounted in a short brass drum with a glass base. A milled knob on the outside of the drum allows the pin to be rotated. The two parts do not fit together in order to view the contents of the drum though the lenses, suggesting another component is required. The cylindrical case is of pasteboard, covered with black fish skin. Printing is visible inside the case. The lid has a push stud catch and is lined with green velvet.
