Description

The square cross sectioned pillar of this copper alloy instrument stands on an oval base. A ring with an internal thread on an arm is fixed to the top of the pillar. Two objective lenses, that screw together, fit the ring. A pinhole near the base of the pillar holds the horseshoe mount for the plane mirror. A sliding sleeve on the pillar carries the ring stage. There is a single pinhole for accessories and a circular leaf spring is attached to the underside of the stage by two screws.
