Description
Three scrolled legs support the circular stage and body. The stage has a pinhole and a keyhole slot for accessories. Two spring clips for glass phials are mounted on the underside of the stage. An internal thread in the stage hole takes a circular slide mount. A cylinder screws onto a ring at the top of the legs. The draw tube pushes into this cylinder. An eyecup, with a sliding dust cover, screws onto the top of the tube. The wider part of the tube holds a field lens and the narrow nosepiece has an external thread for objectives. The copper alloy instrument stands on a mahogany box base. A concave mirror stands at the centre of the base which has a drawer for the four objectives. The pyramid case is mahogany with a copper alloy handle.
