Description

Compound microscope by Pritchard in a wooden case. The case contains: An extending pillar with a clamp to hold the cylindrical limb; the limb includes a collar with an internal thread, a mechanical stage, and a concave mirror with a plaster slab. A cylindrical body tube with an eyepiece at one end, with a removable dust cap, and internal and external thread at the other end to secure it to the limb and accommodate an objective. A base with three feet and a central thread to secure the limb piece. A spring stage. A metal accessory with a horizontal tube with a sprung attachment inside. A disc-shaped metal attachment with two fixing pins. A cardboard box containing 7 glass slides. A paper-covered glass slide of a "Cheese Mite". The wooden hinged case has a lock mechanism and inside the case has wooden fittings, some lined with dark blue velvet.
