Description

Early French daguerreotype of an engraving of two children, a boy and girl, sitting beneath a tree in a romantic setting, distant landscape to right. Enclosed and bound in a crude, early mount, with hook for hanging. Contemporary inscription on back, partly in pencil and partly in ink, mostly illegible but containing a date in the 1840s.
