Description
Carte de visite (albumen print mounted on card) of Frederick John Jervis-Smith, seated over half length, turned to right, wearing academic gown and mortar-board. It was probably taken about the time he returned to Oxford as lecturer in mechanics at Trinity College, in 1885. Full advertising back typical of later cartes de visite.
