Description

A rectangular brown mahogany case with a hinged lid and copper alloy clasp. It contains a copper alloy frame and fitting for mounting to telescope, with 360°scale around its circumference, and glass in two halves of which the top portion is moved sideways by means of a knurl-edged screw. According to the loose paper label in box "Dollond's "Improved object-glass micrometre" 42-inch Telescope (3¾ inch aperture)". Written in ink inside lid of box: "R.O. 1935".
