Description
Wood-framed cog turning mechanism lantern slide with painted image representing the diurnal motion of the earth. The label "No 7 The Diurnal Motion of the Earth, showing the Rising and Setting of the Sun, illustration the cause of Day and Night". The maker's mark of WH NEWTON is stamped into the frame. On the reverse of the frame is another label "8". A hook is screwed into the edge of the frame. The top edge of the frame is inscribed 9 and "diurnal motion of the Earth."
