Description
An example of Powell & Lealand's "Large Compound Microscope Stand, No. 2". The tripod base supports a pillar which holds the arm for a monocular or binocular body. The mechanical stage has knobs for X-Y movement. Below is a condenser mounting with rackwork for focusing and an iris diaphragm. Below this is a plano-concave mirror. The wooden case also holds a stand with a circular base, and a monocular tube and a key.
