Description

Carte de visite (albumen print mounted on card) of a printed portrait of Racine, nearly half length, vignetted. One of a series of 'Portraits Historiques' issued by the Paris photographer Neurdein (see also 52774, 94207) and by the related studio of Charlet & Jacotin (54244, 63555, 80957). Charlet was in fact a pseudonym of J. C. A. Neurdein (1806-1867).
