Carte de visite (albumen print mounted on card) of a printed portrait of Corneille, head and shoulders, vignetted. One of a series of 'Portraits Historiques' issued by the Paris photographer Neurdein (52774, 68945, 94207) and by the related studio of Charlet & Jacotin (see also 54244, 63555). Charlet was in fact a pseudonym of J. C. A. Neurdein (1806-1867).
