Description

A small dissecting microscope which has a pillar that screws into the top of its box. A rotating rectangular bracket at the top of the pillar allows an arm to be attached. This arm has a threaded hole to accommodate a simple lens. The stage is of clear round glass set in a copper alloy frame which slots into a dovetailed joint on the pillar. A circular hole at the base of the pillar allows a horseshoe mirror to be inserted.

The instrument is stored in a wooden case which has a coating of black fishskin. The interior of the box is lined with green velvet and fitted to hold the instrument and accessories. The following accessories are present in the case: six objectives (two with Lieberkühn), tweezers, and a spring stage.
