Description

The copper alloy body screws into the back plate. On the rear of the copper alloy plate is a rectangular mirror and two milled knobs on the front of the plate adjust the position and angle of the mirror. One of two inner tubes push into the body. One of these holds a cylindrical slide carrier. It consists of an outer cylinder with a thread in the end to take the projection lens. There is also a slot to take a copper alloy slide with an objective lens. A rack and pinion, for focusing, extends the outer cylinder from an inner cylinder that holds the stage, and an third, spring mounted cylinder. The stage is a copper alloy plate that is shaped to hold a glass phial. The second tube carries a square spring stage with a circular hole and a projection lens on an arm that can be racked to and from the stage for focusing. The accessories are four screws to secure the back plate, four projection lenses, four bamboo canisters and two lenses. The fitted mahogany box is lined with green felt.
