Description

Portable Compound Microscope, manufactured by Nachet. The microscope and accessories are contained within a gilded copper alloy case. An interesting gilded brass box contains the small microscope and accessories. The top of the case slides back and wings spring to the side to reveal a stage and a platform on which the tube can be placed. The lid itself can be rotated and reinserted into the top of the case to provide a dovetailed platform on which the pillar and body tube can be attached. Three objectives are attached to the underside of the lid. The top could not be opened at the time of this writing. The instrument is stored in a Case is of black leather case with a silver metal clip.
