Description

In MS Underhill 3, between ff.7 and 8, bottom, entomological sketchbook of H. M. J. Underhill. One of two (this contains figures 1, 2, 3, and 5, the other is figure 4) small cyanotype or blueprint copies of microscopical entomological drawings by Underhill, inserted into one of his entomological sketchbooks. The companion is intrinsically dated April 6, 1887; the blueprint copies are presumably nearly contemporary. Underhill tried various photographic and duplicating methods for reproducing his drawings.
