Albumen print mounted on card. Portrait of Arthur Farre, standing three-quarter length, half profile (head in profile) to right, his left arm extended to a Ross microscope on a table in front of him. The photograph has a curved top. Farre was a founder member of the RMS in 1839 and its President in 1850-51. Printed on front: 'Photographed by Messrs.
