Description

Augsburg type, with gilt eight-sided base, silver inclinometer frame with gilt plumbob, silver hinged quadrant, silver compass dial with the names of towns and their latitudes on the underside of the bowl, and a silver wide broken hour ring secured inside a gilt ring. Octagonal case of paper and dark brown leather with red silk lining.
