Description
Augsburg type, silver eight-sided base, with compass dial with degree scale around rrim and pin beneath base which allows the dial to be set to the correct magnetic deviation; gilt inclinometer and plumbob with traces of gilt, gilt hinged quadrant and silver hour ring secured inside a gilt ring. In octagonal leather case with red velvet lining and silver disc in lid with names of towns and their latitudes.
