Description
Suitcase made of brown leather with Aberdeen manufacturer’s ‘G.G. Peterkin Trunk & Bag Manufacturer, 56 School Hill, Aberdeen’ label inside lid (hence purchased by Soddy when he was professor of chemistry at Aberdeen University, 1914-19, immediately before returning as professor to Oxford). The suitcase has a cream striped cotton lining, with leather internal hinges, leather corner protectors and metal lock clasps and leather handle.
