Description

The mechanical stage is attached to a pillar, standing on a heavy base, via a compass joint. The cylindrical limb is mounted on the rear of the stage. The body tube pushes into a split sleeve mounted on a rack and pinion on the limb. A micrometre screw on the top of the limb adjusts the fine focus. A sub stage condenser with an iris diaphragm is set on a pivoting mount beneath the stage and a Plano-concave mirror is mounted below it. The Accessories include four eyepieces, eight objectives in cans and a lens in a threaded copper alloy setting, a condenser cone, a clear ring, and two keys tied together with string. There is also a leather covered box, lined with velvet, containing a lens in a tube and an eyepiece. The Mahogany case is lined with red silk and velvet.
