Description
The cylindrical pillar of this copper alloy instrument stands on a circular base. A socket on the base holds the concave mirror in a horseshoe mount. The stage, set at the top of the pillar, has two spring clips and a copper alloy disc fits the recessed stage hole. A rack and pinion at the rear of the pillar raises a triangular bar. An arm with a ring at one end is screwed to the top of the bar with a mill-edged screw top and a washer. The objectives push into the ring. There are three objectives with blackened eyecups, a quill brush, a copper alloy wire clamp, two tubes - one rubber, the other glass, and a glass disc. The case is mahogany with a copper alloy handle, a key, and a removable drawer.
