Description

This copper alloy microscope stands on a four footed base, formed from a flat tripod with the fourth foot screwed to the front. Three curved legs rise to an axis joint that holds the stage and limb. The body tube is mounted on a rack and pinion, operated by two double mill-edged knobs, for coarse focusing. A graduated, screw set on the body, above the objective operates the fine focus. There is an eyepiece with an eyecup slotted into the top, another eyepiece and eyecup are stored separately. The stage is mechanical and its position is adjusted by two vertical screws. It also rotates. A bracket with a spring grip slides on the stage plate to hold specimens. A fitting for a condenser is attached to the underside of the stage and a post below the stage carries a dark well on an arm and the plano-concave mirror. There are four accessories with the microscope comprising an objective can, stage forceps and a side reflector.

With box containing four accessories.
