Description

This simple, brass screw-barrel microscope has an eye lens in a brass mounting. At the lower end of the screw-barrel the stage consists of a spring holding two thin brass plates with central stage holes. In the end of the barrel holder is a fitting carrying a small condenser lens in a nose cone below the stage. The instrument is mounted on a short rod set on a ball joint at the top of a turned pillar. The pillar screws into a brass disc and stands on three legs that fold together.
