Description
Simple Wilson-type screwbarrel microscope, mainly copper alloy copper alloy with box case and accessories. The accessories are two eyecup lenses with dust caps, three Bone sliders, a wet cell slider, a glass tube, a coiled wire for cleaning the inside of the glass tube, tweezers and a talc box. The case is wood with a fish skin coating. The lid is hinged and has hook fasteners. The lower compartments and the underside of the lid are lined with deep green velvet. The sides of the lid interior are painted red. Also present is a handwritten note dated 1790.
