Description

A turned pillar stands on a flat folding tripod foot and supports the square sectioned limb via a compass joint. Two struts connect the top of the limb to the foot. The compound eyepiece screws into body tube (.2). An arm that attached to the top of the limb by a pivoting rack and pinion, has a threaded ring that holds the body. The stage is mounted on a rack and pinion for focusing. The stage plate has three pinholes and a sliding bracket to hold specimens. It rotates and can be racked back and forth and side to side. Below the stage are a rotating disc with four apertures and a plano-concave mirror (.1).

The outfit is stored in a mahogany case with two copper alloy handles. The case has internal green felt lined supports and a removable accessory storing compartment. The case also has two spring loaded drawers (.21).

Also stored in the case are the following accessories: a circular stage with parallel grips (.3), three Huygenian eyepieces (.4), two objectives (one is screwed into place on body tube) (.5), a Lieberkühn (.6), seven specimen chambers on copper alloy plates, one has a solid black disc in its centre (.7), two dark wells (.8), a stage clamp (.9), stage forceps (.10) and an accessory arm (.11), Bonani Stage (.12), a collar (.13), an articulated arm (.14), a rim for an eyepiece (.15), a section of a live box (.16), a lens (.17), two glass slides (.18), four pieces of black card (.19), and a length of chain (.20).
