Description

A cylindrical, copper alloy housing stands on a copper alloy ring. The sides of the housing are cut away to allow access to the stage and light to the concave mirror below it. The circular stage consists of two rings with a spring between them. The stage hole is recessed and threaded and there are two pinholes. A rack and pinion moves the body up and down for focusing. The body has an inner draw tube with an eyepiece of two lenses and a blackened eyecup and a nose with an internal thread for objectives. The accessories with this microscope are six objectives, a copper alloy talc box, a black and white disk, a glass disk, a copper alloy dish with a glass window, copper alloy forceps, stage forceps, a scalpel with an Ivory handle, a lens in a brass copper alloy setting, a bull's-eye lens on a steel pin, 1 glass vial, 6 bone slides and 1 glass slide. The fitted case is mahogany lined with blue velvet. There is a small draw with a rock sample.
