Description

This instrument is finished in grey enamel and stands on a circular housing. Concentric controls to move the stage for fine and coarse focusing are set on the base, along with a reflector to direct light from its source to the stage via a condenser. A rotating objective changer is mounted above the stage. One of the three sockets holds an objective. The eyepieces drop into steel tubes in the binocular head. The eyepiece mounts pivot to adjust the inter-ocular distance. The right hand eyepiece can be focused independently.

The box is from an older Leitz microscope, not the original box.
