Description

The base is an oak box with a shaped section cut away to allow light to the plane mirror. This mounted on an iron spindle. Slots are cut in the sides of the base to allow specimens to be held below the objective. The body tubes push into pasteboard tube, with wooden collars, standing on top of the base. The body consists of two pasteboard tubes covered in paper. The upper tube, with a wooden eyecup and dust cover, pushes into the lower tube with a wooden nose, holding an objective lens.
