Description
Compound microscope by Cary. A square pillar with a rack and pinion mechanism takes the rack-focussing circular stage. The body tube has an eyepiece at one end and a nosepiece at the other. The case is mahogany and has a hinged lid, hook fasteners and a dark green velvet inner lining. The case also contains one bone slider, a glass and wax slider, a plane mirror in a horseshoe mount with a pin, three objectives, a live box, a lens in a copper alloy setting, stage forceps, tweezers and an ivory shaft for a dissecting pin.
