Box of 59 Lantern Slides from the

Dyson Perrins Laboratory, Oxford.

box. Contains 59 3¼-inch square glass lantern slides used in lectures at the

Dyson Perrins Laboratory, Oxford, consisting chiefly of two sequences: 31

organic chemistry formulae, all handwritten; and a numbered sequence of 24

relating to Sir W. H. Perkin snr. and his career, including a slide of the

photograph of Perkin by E. Chickering, 1906. Two of the other slides are

portraits of Kekulé and Fischer by R. B. Fleming & Co., London.
