Box of 63 Lantern Slides

from the Dyson Perrins Laboratory, Oxford.

Semi-fitted wooden box, with a detachable

lid fastened by metal clasps and leather straps.

Contains 63 3¼-inch square glass lantern slides used in lectures at the Dyson

Perrins Laboratory, Oxford, consisting chiefly of organic chemistry formulae,

many handwritten, but also including portraits of chemists, commemorative silverware, and a coloured

diagram of gas separation. Some of the slides are by Stanley J. Coleman,

London.
