Description
Semi-fitted wooden box, with metal clasps and remains
of leather strap. Contains 65 3¼-inch square glass lantern slides used in
lectures at the Dyson Perrins Laboratory, Oxford, consisting chiefly of organic
chemistry formulae, many handwritten, but also including a sequence of
portraits of chemists, and a sequence relating to penicillin, including 4
photographs, and a slide of the electron density of potassium benzylpenicillin.
Many of the slides are by Stanley J. Coleman, London.
